My most memorable Christmas gift was actually the year that my entire family got sick with the flu, and between throwing up, trips to the bathroom, and cramming on the couch, being together in a difficult time really was such a gift.
I was drawn to the idea of A Gift for All Ages because of the concept of shooting it in the style of a 1940s film, with long takes, a sound stage, and of course colored in black and white. I grew up watching black and white films like It's a Wonderful Life, The Best Years of our Lives, I Love Lucy, you name it, and so to be a part of something like that was very exciting to me.
While watching A Gift for All Ages, I hope people discover that we are capable of beautiful, magical things, and that life can truly be fun, even when we are in hard times.
